About Hayletts Gallery
Hayletts Gallery is an independent, long established art gallery specialising in Modern British art, Contemporary British art, European Masters, and leading East Anglian artists. For more than 25 years, I've curated a carefully selected collection of original paintings, limited edition prints, sculpture, and works on paper from both established and emerging artists.
Founded and directed by me, Sally Patrick, the gallery has built a strong reputation for high quality exhibitions and memorable events. Over the years, I've had the pleasure of welcoming celebrated artists including Sir Peter Blake, Humphrey Spender, Richard Bawden, Bernard Cheese, Chloe Cheese, and Anita Klein, giving collectors rare opportunities to meet the artists they admire.

About Sally Patrick
I studied Fine Art Painting at the Norwich School of Art, originally planning to become a full time artist. Shortly after graduating, I opened my first gallery in Colchester at the age of 23, specialising in professional East Anglian artists - including works by the Great Bardfield artists, whose families I already knew.
After many successful years in Colchester, I moved to larger premises in Maldon, expanding the gallery's focus to include Contemporary, Twentieth Century, and Modern British original prints. In recent years, I've taken Hayletts Gallery online while continuing to curate several physical exhibitions each year, especially at The Minories in Colchester.
I am also one of the founding members of The Aldeburgh Art Fair.
European & Modern Masters
Sally has enjoyed holding solo shows of original prints by Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall and Salvador Dali, however it is her passion for Henri Matisse which has led her to specialise in colour lithographs from the Cut Outs series, last works, by Henri Matisse from the Verve Suite, published by Mourlot Freres in Paris.
Over the years Sally has hosted many popular events at the gallery, bringing people together to share a passion for art. Sally has regularly appeared on local news and radio channels to talk about her exhibitions. In recent years she has enjoyed sourcing artworks for film and TV sets.
Selling Art on Consignment
In addition to being an art dealer and promoting artists, Hayletts also offer customers the opportunity to sell their artworks on consignment, thus utilising our substantial art following.
In July 2021 Hayletts Gallery was voted WINNER of the Essex Muddy Stilettos Award 2021 for best Art Gallery in Essex. The ethos of Muddy Stilettos is all about celebrating and supporting the most unique, interesting, brilliant regional businesses.
