Biography for Moss Fuller RCA (1937 - 2021)

After studying at St Martin's School of art, Moss continued her art studies at the Royal College of Art in the Printmaking Department under Julian Trevelyan, Richard Bawden and also sculpture under Dame Elisabeth Frink.

Ne Speed, Moss married at Laxfield, Suffolk in 1962, Ronald Harry Fuller and they had three sons Mark, Sam and Jake

After living at Bristol and Sevenoaks, in 1972, together with her family, she returned to Suffolk, living at Willow Cottage, Chattens Lane, Laxfield where she ran her own etching workshop and workshops for fellow artists and friendly competitors.

By returning to Suffolk Moss was back where she had enjoyed a childhood filled with days spent playing in the fields and climbing trees. She wanted to return to the fields again and observe the farming seasons as the fields were drilled in the spring, followed by green lines of growing corn and tractors turning the hay in to soft folds. She wanted to understand the land and how the contours were formed

Moss also taught at Gainsborough's House, Sudbury and was an early member of the Gainsborough's House Print Workshop and a founder member of the Suffolk Group of Artists. She enjoyed painting in gouache and watercolours, drawing in the landscape from Laxfield to the sea and exhibited widely including at the Royal Academy.

Solo exhibitions included at Gainsborough House and taking part in 'Landscape & Figures' at North House Gallery, Manningtree, Essex. Moss also exhibited with the Suffolk Group, Peter Pears Gallery; Norwich Printmakers, Norwich Print Fair; Apex Gallery, Bury St Edmund's and Edmunds Gallery, Bury St Edmund's and elsewhere. She was an associate member of Craftco, Southwold running trhe print gallery there for many years.
